Everton have completed the signing of Swansea midfielder gylfi sigurdsson on a club record fee £45. Sigurdsson had been there on everton's transfer radar for almost a year. The 27 year-old scored 9 goals and created 13 assist for the swans last season. Which makes him player involved in more goals than any other in the swans team. He also had a record of good set piece which saw him scored 7 free kick goals among which he scored a stunner against Man Utd last season (sorry United fans... "lol")
The signing of the Iceland international saw everton's summer spending move up to £100 million. Wayne Rooney, Micheal Keane, Jordan Pickford were the major signings made. So let's see what the force of Ronald koeman will produce this season.
It was ahriller at the Emirates on match day one of the Premier league as arsenal snatched a tough victory. It turned out to be very good for Wenger's men when new signing Lacazette scored just 95 seconds after kick off,3 mins later okazaki levelled for the foxes. With the threat still on arsenal defense Jamie vardy headed home from albrighton cross on the 30th minute. Just seconds to half time Danny scored from a brilliant assist by another epl debutant kolasinac, who has been outstanding all night for the gunners. On the 56th minute Jamie vardy competed his brace as he put Leicester back in front from mahrez's corner kick . Wenger made the winning double substitution with Ramsey coming for el neny and Giroud for holding, quite aggressive to the foxes attack. Granit xhaka made a wonderful flick pass to Ramsey who was in the 16 yard box Ramsey found it easy with a shot pass schmeichel. The gunners refuse to give up as they push for the winning goal which was finally gotten from the man who always score with his head, Oliver Giroud from mesut ozil's corner kick. So that was how it ended at the Emirates 4:3....Good start for the gunners
It's a big one on the opening weekend of the new epl season with all teams ready and fully equipped with new players ahead of the 2017/2018 season. But not for one club, Tottenham Hotspur. Who are yet to make a new signing. Pochettino insisted Tottenham are going to a make a few signings before the end of the summer transfer window. However two player left the club, Kyle Walker left for man city on £50 million deal and Josh onomah on loan to Aston Villa.Tottenham opening match is going to be against newly promoted Newcastle United, the last meeting between the two teams was the closing match of the 2015/16 season, which ended horribly for spurs. 10-man Newcastle beat spurs 5-1 the defeat saw arsenal finishing the season above Tottenham on 2nd place as. So will Pochettino make new signing and unleash his team for revenge on Sunday 13th of August 2017. Meanwhile their title rivals have already splashed huge amount on new players this summer with both Chelsea and Manchester United spending £100m. But that's not enough for mourinho who is keen on signing inter Milan's Ivan perisic. Who seems not to be for sale, inter had turned two offers from man UTD of about £40m. Mourinho finally got what he wanted,to play in the ucl, which saw his team sacrificing and struggling in the epl last season just to win the uel. And now they are in the champions league. United will be looking forward to resume title challenge after four years out against West Ham Utd on Saturday the 12th of August 2017. On the other side of Manchester, more cash have been spent 'recklessly' (according to mourinho) city are spend too much on players who didn't deserve such amount of money which seems to be true. Guadiola have now the two world most expensive defenders, kyle Walker(£50m) world most expensive defender for just ten days. After which Jeremy Mendy came in for £52m. Guadiola got rid of the old 'cargos' from his team who are mostly defenders such as sagna, zabaleta, kolarov and clichy. With Hart, caballero, nolito, iheanacho, fernando and navas all sold out already. City fans will see a summer of overhaul as Guadiola is ready to offload samir nasri, mangala and Wilfred bony as well. So with such 'in and out' Manchester City are ready for their opening match against newly promoted Brighton and hove Albion on Saturday 12th of August 2017. And to push for the title and make sure Guadiola doesn't go another season 'trophyless'.....
Deep in London Arsenal have ended their reign without a top class straiker since the departure or Robin Van Persie by splashing a club record move for French international Alexandre Lacazette, the question is will he deliver as a top class straiker?Lacazette seems to impress arsenal fans after scoring on his debut during the club's pre season tour in Australia. Another fans favourite is "the Bosnian hulk" sead kolasinac,a fellow new signing whom arsene Wenger used his marketing genius to get for free. He caught the eyes of the fans when pulled arsenal level during the recent community shield match against Chelsea. After which he was described by fellow team mate Theo Walcott as 'a tank'. Arsenal looking for the third singing, to boost Wenger's attack with Monaco's star Thomas lemar the top target. Thomas lemar reportedly left monaco's training ground 'very upset' on Tuesday -sparking more talk of summer move to arsenal. Two bids from arsenal were already rejected .But Wenger remain keen to make lemar part of of his new-look strike force. But Wenger may be encouraged to go back in following the emergence of a fall out during training on Tuesday.
Arsene Wenger has another onus to take care of after key players mesut ozil and Alexis Sanchez's contacts expires at the end of the season and they both are yet to agree to a new one. So will big money signing Lacazette be worth his ratings and banish the old hard times at the Emirates? Let's watch out in their epl opener against Leicester city on Friday the 11th of August 2017.
Chelsea on a high note have been busy in the transfer market securing the signings of top players like Antonio rüdiger, midfielder bakoyoko from Monaco and club record Alvaro Morata for £70m. Morata seems to be the fans favourite but is yet to impress by not scoring a goal for the blues and having messed up at the Wembley by sending his penalty off target during the recent community shield match against arsenal. With Chelsea Jersey number 9 history.....

With a speculations still flocking around Liverpool's main man Phillipe coutinho, will jugen klop sell and get another player with the big money from Barcelona or will he keep his key player? Liverpool are now in the champions league but they have to undergo a test from German Hoffeinham in the play off rounds. However it is one one the reason jugen klop would have to keep and add top players to his side. Jugen klop added the World Cup u21 winning player Dominic sonlanke, who impressed during the pre season with two goals. But the man with the spotlights is muhamed saleh, the Egyptian international who returned to epl for his second spell but this time to a different club. Muhamad salah seems to impress his boss after receiving his praises after he scored his first goal during the Pl Asia trophy in Tokyo. Liverpool will be willing to mount a stronger challenge for the title with a trip to Marci silvers wartford on Saturday 12th of August 2017.
Carragher claims Chelsea risk losing Antonio Conte this year
Chelsea’s memories of winning the Premier League last season seem to be fading as the Blues struggle in the summer transfer window, a precedent that has stood for West London side throughout their years of glory.
Roman Abramovich’s club should have learnt their lessons in the transfer market following their previous failings but the Blues have managed to get themselves in a mess again, leaving Antonio Conte’s squad looking very thin just days before the start of the new season.
The decision to sell Nemanja Matic to Manchester United has been criticised by many and the Blues lack significant depth in their squad following the exits of Asmir Begovic, Nathan Ake, Nathaniel Chalobah and company, with Diego Costa likely to follow before the month is out.
Conte has spent heavily to bring in the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata but the wealth of departures means that the Blues’ squad isn’t any stronger that it was last season- and the Italian boss is desperate for further additions.
Former Juventus boss Conte has his eyes on a number of top-targets this month as the defending champions have been heavily linked with Southampton’s Virgil Van Dijk, Juventus’ Alex Sandro and Swansea City’s Fernando Llorente, amongst others, but there’s a lack of progress being made on the market.
Whilst there’s still time to get business done, the damage may have already been handed to the Blues as they face a huge clash with Tottenham Hotspur in the second week of the new Premier League season.
Chelsea endured a slow start last season but managed to catch-up, although this year they have to cope with their involvement in the Champions League. With all things considered, it’s left Jamie Carragher to make a bold claim.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Liverpool defender stated he doesn’t see Conte remaining at the club by the time next summer comes around.
“I’d be very surprised if I’m sitting here in 12 months’ time and he’s the Chelsea manager. I think he’s the type of manager who won’t accept the involvement from people above, especially on the back of winning the title.”“He’s not going to go quietly and it’s not great for the club when the manager is coming out and speaking the way he is.”
Chelsea have been ruthless with their treatment on managers in the past, with Abramovich regularly wielding the axe, but the Blues are running out of top-class managers to appoint.
Sergio Ramos has suggested Zinedine Zidane's knowledge of the Real Madrid dressing room has helped him to greater success than Jose Mourinho enjoyed at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"My view is that when a team has a coach it changes, every coach is different because if his system, tactics, and personality," said the Spain and Madrid captain, taking an initially diplomatic tone. "One coach is not necessarily better than another. They are just different. Zizou was very good at understanding our dressing room as a former player. Maybe that gives him an advantage."
Ramos went on to play down the suggestion that Mourinho decisively moulded his career as he transitioned from right-back to centre-half.
"I don't think that changed my career at all," he said. "Mourinho was just another coach I worked with in my football career and I have always learnt from others, from when I was a youngster at Sevilla. So I am very, very grateful but I don't think Mourinho has changed my life in football at all."
